Just had HID 6000k lights installed on my Escape. However I think the light are angled too high and would like to adjust the headlights to aim lower.

Any advice on how to do this?

Hey, I should probabiy consider this. For some reason, the spray from the right bulb is a little lower than the left. I'll probably want to straighten that out before I go HID.

I am having trouble finding a tool that is small enough to adjust the tiny screw to adjust the headlights vertically. I have tried a 1/4mm socket wrench and that is even too large!

How do they expect anyone to adjust the headlights?

Any help would be great!

I think you need a 1/8th. I tried a 4mm and a 5mm. 4mm is too small, 5mm is too big. and the smallest socket i have is a 5/32

and using a wrench only ruins the screw

My service advisor has just informed me.... it's a 4.5mm socket

I wonder why that made it so difficult to adjust the headlights. I guess I will need to find a 4.5 mm socket to adjust them. Right now my HID lights are aimed way too high. Hopefully I can get this tool today.

Good point...

...but my dealership says they'll take a look at it for me and fit it for free :)
I'm just going to take mine to the local dealer and have it done. I have tried a couple times and I dropped the socket and now it is somewhere in the bowels of the front of my escape, hope it doesn't damage anything. :censor:
