What else would you buy/own, if it was your last/only choice

Don't own a Ford? That's OK, we won't leave you out!

Somewhat late reply here, but if I couldn't buy any Ford, I would be interested in the following:

Subaru WRX (new one is quicker than STI)
Subaru Forester XT
Nissan Pathfinder 5.6
Jeep GC SRT8
Toyota Venza V6
Mazda CX7, CX9, 6, or Speed3
Dodge Challenger SRT8

I guess my least favorite brands are Honda/Acura, & BMW. Not because they make poor vehicles, just because!
TRADED: '08 Mariner Premier V6 4wd (bye bye).

Long live a nearly dead thread!

As for a car that I would have to be caught dead in, I'd have to say anything Korean (I had a Kia Rio rental for my axle shaft repair and man is that thing a POS) or Chinese (forget about that).

When I was picking a car out, it was the Escape I have now (XLT V6 4x4 with trailer tow and Sun&Sync packagse) or a 2009 Mazda6 S Touring in Sangria Red with the Bose and Moonroof package. I absolutely loved test-driving that car (the salesperson kept telling me to go faster, which was a strange experience). That 3.7L V6 really throws you off...you almost think you're in something a lot more expensive and with two more cylinders! It's too bad the price of the 6s have gone up nearly 10% since I test-drove them last year. This was also right before Ford sold part of its stake in Mazda, and then the employee discount was no longer valid.

Maybe something to think about when I get a job? Although I'm too loyal to the Blue Oval, so maybe I'll get a Taurus SHO(boat) or Fusion Sport AWD with a heart transplant.

I bought the Escape 5 months ago, but haven't stopped looking at other vehicles. What's caught my eye lately are Nissan Xterra and Jeep Liberty.

If I could have anything and money was no object, I'd get this; :yahoo:

Thanks for the link.
Yes, i took notice of pricing.
I reckon it's, better looking than a hummer.
Obviously that Knight, must be a 4x4 vehicle.

Nice height and width on it.
Rather unfortunate about the price tag.
Starting at $489,000 eh?

If I couldn't have the Escape...hmmmm...

I still love my 2002 Cavalier, it's been the most reliable car I have ever owned and I plan on driving it until it is dead.
1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Longest Post-WWII production Cadillac made, 19 1/2 feet long with a 500ci engine...now THAT'S a Cadillac!
2010 Ford F-450 King Ranch, they are SOOOOO comfortable and it can tear the side of a building off. If I am dropping that much cash on a pickup, I want something that can do ANYTHING I throw at it, and this fits the bill.

I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING from Chrysler Corporation. Made that mistake once, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

If it's a European brand, imo it should be banished. I prefer not choosing it. Asian brand? Hmm. Maybe a 2004 Honda Accord. Anything newer and your getting into recalls, probelms that have not been sorted out and Honda is denying any knowledge. Same with Toyota and the Camry. Basically, no thank you on any of the Asian brands for that reason. Currently, the factory is trying to back away from problem issues and deny knowledge or support. May as well be GM. :bang:

I made this post over one year ago. Interesting how long it takes things to become apparent. I'm not certain that all is transparent yet...

I still vote for the F-150/Expedition.

For me, at least untill now (who knows in the future :D ), i've always wanted a car i can actually drive (whats the point of a Murcielago SV, if you are not gonna drive it), thats been the rule for all the cars i've owned. therefore I would buy:

Overfinch Holland & Holland Range Rover TDV8 --My work truck
Novitec Tridente Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT-s -- Business Car
BMW ALPINA B3 S Biturbo Touring with all-wheel drive -- Wife's Car
Gemballa Roadster GTR Evo 3.9I or Ruf 3400K -- Wkend Car

I could add 2,

Spoon Honda Fit -- Daily driver
F150 SVT Raptor 6.2 SuperCrew -- Farm Truck
2010 Escape V6 XLT 4WD
