Hi all I will soon have a 2013 ford escape sel ( just waiting for it to be built in the US then shipped here ) and I like to do my own service except for oil changes, ( cant be bothered for $40 ) and I was wondering where is the cabin air filter located on my car and is it hard to get at ? :?
Any help would be great and it will be a relief to be able to do things on my car again like air filter and cabin filters ect, thanks Bruce

Hi I don't have the manual yet.....
FYI - You can download a PDF copy of your manual by following the links in the following thread:

Online owner's manuals

***EDIT***
I looked through the User Guide for the 2013's and all it says is this:

The filter should be replaced at regular intervals. See the Scheduled Maintenance chapter.
For additional cabin air filter information, or to replace the filter, see an authorized dealer.

The Scheduled Maintenance chapter just says it should be replaced every 20k miles... I looked around online and couldn't find anything...

hi its under the hood left side under the plastic, cowl there are 2 or 3 plastic clips to remove and it should be empty. Ford does not supply one.

It looks like that might be wrong for the 2013... From another user:

I wound up dislodging the lamp holder assembly and had to remove the WHOLE glove box. Two screws inside and then the assembly "snaps" out by pulling forward. Feels like you will break it but you won't. I do not recall seeing the area for cabin filter but it looks to be the case that that is where it is if you see the filter diagram here:

Left side for the cabin filter? is it the Pax side or Driver side? Left side is driver side sitting ... left side is pax side looking at the engine bay
