For all interested we are looking for suggestions and possible Central Ontario locations for next years ETO. Your input is greatly appreciated, thank you.
First post here, looking forward to picking up my escape in the next few weeks. Having been in the focus scene for the past nine years with meets and mods, i'm really looking forward to the escape scene!
Hamilton has some awesome back roads, and what about possible group camping? One of the focus clubs I belong to does yearly camping where they book three or more sites at algonquin national park.

Glad to see someone a little more local to me! The group camping sounds like a fantastic idea! Last year was so fun. I'm looking forward to some more people showing up this year.

Welcome to EC,if you wouldn't mind I am interested in hearing about some of the activities and places your Focus club has gathered in the past. This will be our third year that we have held this event and hope to see more attend so any ideas are welcomed.
+1, we could get into camping with the EC crowd! Going up to Algonquin seems pretty ambitious for any less than a long weekend, but there are lots of places in S Ont.
If you came to ETO 2013, do you have any suggestions? Please pm biggman or me.
If you are hesitant about coming this year, what would it take to get you there? Really. What about date/place/activities, or something to make it fun for spouses/partners/kids? Please pm one of us so we can consider your input!
Why don't we plan something around say Kingston/Trenton/Belleville areas. That is a nice central location for any of the Quebec members can consider making the trip down for this event. Im up in Ottawa and I know driving all the way down beyond Toronto would really put a damper on whether or not I'd show up. Especially if it is just a weekend event.

Belleville-Trenton is an easy day-trip for us (from Hamilton) and there are many good routes, places to stop etc in the Bay of Quinte area. We would certainly go if it doesn't conflict with anything.
Suggesting a separate thread though, to be started by whoever organizes a Quinte area meet.

Planning the July event for Niagara-Hamilton area is getting underway very soon! Further announcements will be in this thread.
Those wanting to plan a meet elsewhere in Ontario, please start a separate thread. We'll come and join you if we can, and if you would like to know our experiences in running a meet, please pm us (biggman or onthelam).
I am definitely in this year!
Here are my 5 cents: I prefer activities to sitting. That's why I would prefer more driving together (including off-roading) rather then just getting together and staying at one place.

Thanks. :thumb:
Domain, BTW, commented last year that one gravel stretch was a 'like a rock climb'...maybe we'll id an alternate route for participants that have lower ground clearance.

From Toronto:
Take QEW south, towards Niagara, exit at 7th Street. At the stop sign go left (over the highway) and take your first left - North Service Road.....follow about 1 mile to Charles Daly Park entrance
From Buffalo:
Take Peace Bridge to QEW north, towards Niagara, and past St. Catharines. Exit at 7th Street. At the stop sign go right and take your first left - North Service Road.....follow about 1 mile to Charles Daly Park entrance
This will be awesome! I'm living in Niagara for the next year or so and will definitely be attending this event if I can get it off work. I can't wait for this event to happen!

Would love to attend this but will be starting my trip west and north July 12. Assuming the passports arrive in time, we will be visiting Alberta and British Columbia. Hope you have a great time.

Charles, there's still time!!! If you leave early on the 12th you could be in Niagara by mid-day on the 13th, join us for the afternoon, then head west thru Ontario and keep going. If you could, we might have all 4 generations of E represented.
Sorry guys! We will still be in the southern US at that time. Maybe next year. Thanks for thinking of me.
