I agree. For now my leak has stopped. But if it continues I will bring it back once a week if needed until it is resolved. RI has a lemon law as well. Documentation is the key. Make sure you get a copy of all of the dealer paperwork that has dates, issues and what they did to fix it. Ford will not tolerate multiple, repeat warranty issues that the dealer sends them. I have the extended factory warranty so I get a rental/loaner in the event my car is not driveable and takes longer than a day to return it. That is a dealer thing as Ford does not "give" a loaner for warranty service items (or something like that)....

What's really odd is that the '10 Fusion which uses the 6F35 also lists the same part number for the LH half shaft in their shop manual as the Escape but the TSB lists a different number for the replacement for the Fusion compared to the Escape. It might just be something about common part numbers between vehicles.

Oh boy, Is there a string on a 2006 Escape Axel Seal problem I can join? I had a leak fixed AFTER the warranty expired...Then it started leaking again, it's been in the shop for a week now and has had two seals leak while there. They don't have a stock of them locally so 2 to three day wait to get one. My dealer does have 1 year warranty on the work they did, so this is covered and they are providing a rental for me. I guess I should count my blessings. Worst part though, is looking at past service invoice, there was a note about the leak on an oil change invoice about 4 months before waranty expired, but I didn't see it, and don't recall it being pointed out at the time. Reading this 2010 string does make me worry even more now. Is it going to need more than a seal replaced now?

I finally got my 2009 Mariner back after 4 days, it too had this seal leak, loose motor mounts, and some kind of transmission pin was loose ... all covered under warranty of course .. but its only 7 months old and has only 8000 miles on it? Geez...

Yes, it's a 6F35 transaxle issue which they all use including the 2010 Fusion.

...except on the Fusion Sport, which uses the 6F50.

Okay, that's because it uses the bigger V6 like the Edge which uses the 6F50.
