Folding down the back seat of my 04 Escape.

Maybe I am not grasping this correctly, but is there a way to fold down the back seat all the way flat? Mine only folds down about 75%.

Are u folding it down on top of the bottom seat cushion? maybe thats why. I think u have to flip up the bottom cushion for the back to fold down all the way.

It has been awhile since i done this, and i think i am correct on having to flip up the bottom cushion first.. :? i may be wrong..

You need to pull up the bottom seat cushion and stick it into the footwell and also remove the head rests.

The owner's manual shows exactly how to do it.

Would this also work in a 2002 ford Escape XLS. I do NOT have the 60/40 seats. I really wish I could get it to fold flat, or at least flatter than it does now.

*Update*
Ok I got it, I never tried to pull on both those tabs before. I figured they were part of the child safety seat system or something.
