Hi All,
Our 2004 Ford Escape has been pretty much faultless during the two years we have owned it. Sure, there have been some things to fix, but it's a 10+ year old car and they have all been minor and/or cosmetic anyways. The 3.0L V6 is smooth and strong and the vehicle has generally looked after our family well. It has brought my last two children home from hospital after birth and is part of our family.
I do like to do my own regular servicing and maintanence and feel this has helped keep the car in good condition.
But I'm at a crossroad... With three boys in the family now, the Escape is too small. We need to move into a bigger vehicle soon.
I want something that's going to give me what I have with the Escape, just bigger and with seven seats. For those who own or have owned one, what are the Explorers like?
Here in Australia, second hand ones seem to be quite affordable.
What is the best model year and engine combo to look for?
Cheers,
Joe.
