05 escape what are the hooks on rear ceiling?

I have a 05' escape ,bought used. was wondering what the hooks on the rear ceiling above the cargo area are for?is it some kind of tie down system?

Yep. Restraint hooks for child seats. But they make a great spot light hanger while installing audio equipment!

It would be listed in the owners manual as a UAS anchor.
Keeps the child seat from tipping forward.

There are additional anchor points near the seat belt buckles as well.
