Does anybody know if the electronic 4WD be converted from on demand to manual via a switch?

I've read it can but is not worth the hassle or the cost.

As megascape wrote, yes it can be converted and there are two ways you can accomplish that conversion.
Is it worth it?Both conversions are very expensive for the minimal and questionable advantage you will end up with.

There is nothing on a vehicle which cannot be done.It is all a matter of cost and benefit.
