Hello all

We have a 2009 Escape Limited v6, which is now about 10 months old. Recently, when using the heat in cold weather, the passenger side seems to blow only hot air. If both driver and passenger are set to 70, for example, the center vents blow at the same temp. If you reduce the driver side to 67 for example, that side cools, and correctly, the pass. side stays warm. However, if you reduce the pass. side to 67, it stays hot. This happens unless you reduce the pass. side all the way to 60. As you as you turn up the temp to 65, which is the first choice above 60, it immediately goes hot, and stays hot, even though the driver side will stay at the correct temp. Brought the car in for a regular service, and asked to have this checked. Tech could not find problem. Went back to dealer (30 miles) showed tech the problem, and he agreed with what I said, but said that's the way it is due to duct work, and nothing can be done. Checked a 2010 and didn't seem to have this problem. Any thoughts? Thanks.
