09 Escape Turn Signal Issues - HELP!

A week or so ago the LEFT signal when clicked started flashing superfast

I didnt check the light itself for a few days but:

1) The lights work on both sides
2) The RIGHT signal and break works

BUT

3) The LEFT signal and break DOES NOT work

I looked at the manual and dont know if I should start replacing fuses or what the heck I should do

CAN ANYONE JUMP IN AND HELP?

Buy a #4157 bulb. Open the liftgate, remove the two screws on the left rear lamp housing, then carefully pull the entire housing rearward. DO NOT rotate the housing in any direction, just pull it straight back, or you'll break the two posts in the lamp housing. Replace the bulb in the larger socket with the new #4157 bulb, and put everything back together.

I'll bet that you spend a lot of time stuck in traffic with the brakes on!
