Can i still use the roof top antena for sirius for a portable player in the car since i'm changing the factory stereo?

Kinda, I just want to add the factory SIRIUS to the aftermarket HU http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3234 :wall:There isnt much posted on the net about this. :wall: But like for me I might have to order this for my JVC http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL028384&pathId=62&page=1 If that doesnt work then I will have to buy a new sirius set up. You would have to check with the HU company to see if they offer a setup like mine. HOPE THIS HELPED A LITTLE

I have a portable unit, i know about the other units that u have to buy for th after markets, but this portable goes through a fm station so i wonder if the rooftop antenna can still be used?

Any portable car player on sirius. - want to use the factory installed sirius antenna on my roof, but I'm getting a feeling that it won't be able to fit in.

answer is yes i found the wire and it does fit any portable unit.

This is some good info. I always wanted to buy a OEM antenna from a vehicle and use it instead of the ones that comes w/ the portable units. Which portable unit you have, cuz I know a couple of the older ones use a different antenna plug. Do you have a recently released one?
