Hey yarritspete.
I consider 20's a perfect size for ur ride.
I have 19's but its because a low price was offered.
Also it depends on the tire height.
My wheel size is: 255/40/R19
Take I look, I posted the pics last week:

Down here at P.R. when buying a 19 inch tire for any 19's rims...well, lets say is not cheap.
19's can become more expensive than 20's when you do the math. It all depends.
But overall, I recommend some 20's.

Hope my opinion helped in something !
Take care!

thanks for the advise i am really ruling out 19 cause 19 inch tires are more than 20's i was kinda thinking about the performance factor as well as looks those with twentys did it really slow your car up at all?

well now that i really think about it the escape is not a performance machine so i should look more to styling cues than actual performance 18's with a 55 tire are not really going to boost my performance a noticable amount of say 20's with a 45 tire,

alright so lets talk 20's post pics of your pics, oh my escpae is a 2003 xlt in gold ash
