Imho, they should have selected a color for the silver to fade into that had some POP!. :thumb: That Black Burgundy isn't getting it for me. :bill: Bright Candy Apple Red would do, or an Orange, or orange metallic... :shrug:

Thanks for the photos cbramsey. :thumb: Even though the 1930's are before my time, i feel a sense of nostalgia, for anything from a different period in history.

Beautiful car! I love the old rods like that. There is a fair sized Cruiser show coming up here in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to go and grab some pics. I went last year (the first one) and got some really nice shots, but never got around to posting them.

Though -- while I can appreciate the craftsmanship & creativity that goes into a "hot rod" -- I have to admit that I am a purist at heart who likes the old-timers better when they are as close to original as possible.

I'm inclined to agree. I have a '63 Buick Wildcat (going on a 4 yr resto process) and finding original parts is a challenge. But it makes it worthwhile when I do find that part I need.
