2002 Ford Escape 2.0L I4 5-spd manual transmission

I'm preparing to check the valve clearances on my Escape 2.0L I4.
The valve cover gasket does not have holes for the valve cover bolts.
Instead, the gasket has the half-moons that go around the bolts. From reading the Chilton manual, there are supposed to be rubber seals at the bolt holes, but his diagrams there didn't show any. This may be unanswerable, but... Does anyone know if the cover will install fine without replacing those seals?

PS: It just occurred to me that the seals could be on another diagram.
I'll make another trip to the dealer to have the guy double-check.
In the mean time, I'll go ahead & post this.

When I replaced the valve cover gasket on my Focus (virtually the same 2.0L Zetec), I just replaced the gasket with the "half moons." I didn't replace any grommets at the bolts. Just be sure to follow the torque specs for the bolts when you replace the cover . . . the specs are in INCH pounds, not foot pounds. Too tight, and the cover will warp and leak.

If it's the plastic one ( don't know for sure, but I think they all are plastic) they also tend to crack if too tight. :(
