2001-2002 Tribute - FLUID LEAKAGE FROM BRAKE RESERVOIR CAP

APPLICABLE MODELS
2001-2002 Tributes

DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit fluid leakage from the brake reservoir cap. This may be caused by the insufficient sealing of the cap.

To improve the sealing, a new brake reservoir cap is available to prevent this condition.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify concern.

2. Install a new cap and turn it clockwise to secure.
NOTE:
Turn the cap until it completely stops.

^ Be aware of the direction of the label: the text part faces toward the front of the vehicle.

^ To prevent the label from peeling off wipe the leaked fluid or dust completely off the tank.
^ You can use brake cleaner to degrease if necessary.
