Parking Brake Shoes

Removal and Installation
  1. Remove the rear brake disc.

    [/*]
  2. Remove the parking brake shoe upper return spring.

    [/*]
  3. Remove the 2 parking brake shoe retaining pins.

    [/*]
  4. Remove the 2 parking brake shoe retaining springs.

    [/*]
  5. Remove the parking brake shoe lower return spring.

    [/*]
  6. Remove the parking brake shoe adjuster.

    [/*]
  7. Remove the parking brake shoes.

    [/*]
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Using anti-seize lubricant, lubricate the parking brake shoe contact points before installation of the rear parking brake shoes.[/*]
    • Lubricate the adjust screw threads with anti-seize lubricant.[/*]
    • Adjust the parking brake shoe and lining.[/*]
    • Check the parking brake for normal operation.[/*]
