Hello everyone!

Been searching around the interwebs for a decent video or answer to this question and I just wanna see if what I found is correct or not. 04 XLT.

I know that the ground for reverse is a switched ground... The one video that I did see the guy in it installing the wiring tapped the bk/pk wire (which is the switched ground, correct?) for the "reverse signal" wire. Is this the correct method? Any insight would be appreciated. I want to do this on my next weekend off from work. Thanks!

If you are displaying the video on a Panasonic radio, it already has a setting to reverse the ground.
I lucked out on that installation after I couldn't figure out why the camera wasn't working.
I'll have to double check and see. Mine's a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX. I have heard of some radios reversing the ground, so thank you for reminding me to check if there's an issue.

Black/pink appears to be correct.

Thank you for the confirmation. Appreciated!

Did this get solved? Im having a similar problem. The furthest I've managed to get, is a "No Signal" message. Trying to tap in at the rearmost pillar above the passenger taillight. I have a black "chassis ground" wire, and a pink "To the back-up lamp" wire.

Theres a solid black wire in the harness. I was wondering if it was a ground I can tap into.

There is likely a common ground up there that you could just pull the screw out, and stick your ground onto it... any screw into metal will do

I never cut into a harness, unless absolutely necessary. You can tape your connecting ground wire to the harness, or tuck it into the loom, to get to where a screw might be located.

Black is usually a ground wire, unless it has a stripe on it. Most ground wires don't go far, there's usually a common body ground somewhere near.
If nothing else, stick in your own ground screw into a bit of structural body metal you see in there, scrape the paint off of it and you're good to go. I'm sure I don't have to tell you not to drill through the outer skin. ( :

This is how I had to do mine. Worked perfectly for 3 years until it got totaled.
