THROTTLE BODY

Removal and Installation


CAUTION: Throttle body bore and plate area have a special coating and cannot be cleaned, or possible damage to the throttle body can occur.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

3. Remove the upper snow shield screw and pin-type retainer.
   • Remove the upper snow shield.[/*]
   • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).[/*]

4. Detach the accelerator and speed control cables from the throttle body.

5. Disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical connector.
   
   [/*]
6. Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle body.
   • Inspect the throttle body gasket and install new as necessary.[/*]
   • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).[/*]

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.[/*]
