I have a question. i have 2007 escape 2.3L I4 that did not come with a spare. i would like to get a full size spare for this vehicle. the spare wheel well looks like it would fit a full size tire. my tires i have on it is P235/70R16. if anyone can help i would appreciate it. thanks

really appreciate the answers. i will have to order a full size rim, more than likely a steel one they seem to be the cheapest. no reason to spend the money on an alloy when the majority of the time it is going to be out of sight. any suggestions where a good place would be to get one. thanks again.

i just checked them out and chatted live with one of their specialists. unfortunately the $49.99 wheel does not come in 16" debating on whether or not just to get the 15" seeing that it is only going to be a spare and hopefully will on be on their a short distance til i get a new tire. what do you thing?

How about a junkyard? Now ya got me thinking about it. I really don't like the "doughnut" type spare. Time for another trip to my local junkyard. That guy thinks I'm nuts anyway. I'm always calling to see what new stuff he has in... :play:

Now I'm wondering if a full size spare will fit underneath. Anybody know?

I have the 2005 Escape, which is the same body style from 05-07. There was a doughnut or "dink" spare on my vehicle under the rear of the vehicle, held by a winch and cable. I got a matching full-size wheel on e-bay and an almost new Continental Conticrap (some owner really must have hated those) from a local tire store. It fits perfectly. It's heavier than the dink spare, but worth it to me. I just have to remember to check the air pressure regularly. A flat spare tire isn't good for much.

I had a full-size spare with a 2005 XLT aluminum wheel on my 2005 Limited. That's was from the factory at the time.

It fit perfectly, and, like TheFixer said, the 2007 was the same body style.
