Does anyone know of a source for 2008 and later door sill scuff plates, either in plastic or stainless? These plates protect the painted body area between the rocker panel and the rubber door seal. I found some listed for 2001 - 2007 Escapes (OEM stainless P/N F1L8Z7813208CA or OEM black plastic P/N F1L8Z78132A08AA), but don't know if these will fit a 2010?

Taking a chance, I ordered the 1L8Z-78132A08-AA kit, even though Ford shows it as fitting only the 2001 - 2007 Escapes. Turns out it fits the 2010 Escape (and likely the 2008 and 2009 models) just fine.

I installed all four pieces (one for each door opening) today. No problems, and each one fits perfectly.

I thought about this but passed on it because of potential compatability issues. Now... :D

What kills me is ones that say "Mariner" on them, from a 05-07 Mariner are like $116! I can't believe that just because of a name change Ford charges so much more for them, and they're plastic at that! Wish they were under $50 like the Escape ones... :(

My best guess is since the "mariner" ones are probably discontinued, the price has gone up due to limited supply.
Possibly. From what I can tell, after the 2007 model, they never made them for the Mariner - only Escape. I can get chrome looking ones on eBay for $10, might do that. I'd get the Escape ones.... but it would look weird opening the door and seeing Escape, not Mariner.

Well, after looking at my door sills on my Mariner, I did notice scratches and gouges. So, after contemplating, I decided to bite the bullet and order the Mariner ones from the 2005-2006 model. Wasn't cheap, but I do like how they look. The picture online from Lombard Ford showed a plain black plate with white Mariner lettering. When I got these, they were actually carbon fiber looking with chrome Mariner lettering. Was upset at first, but after I put them on, I like it. The chrome lettering looks great with the rest of the vehicle's chrome. :thumb:
