SATELLITE DIGITAL AUDIO RECEIVER SYSTEM
(SDARS), MAY NOT SEEK ALL SIRIUS SATELLITE
RADIO CHANNELS

FORD:
2008 Focus, Fusion, Mustang, Taurus X,
Taurus, Edge, Escape Hybrid, Escape,
Expedition, Explorer Sport Trac, Explorer,
F-150, F-150, F-Super Duty

LINCOLN:
2008 MKZ, Mark LT, MKX, Navigator

MERCURY:
2008 Milan, Sable, Mariner Hybrid, Mariner, Mountaineer

ISSUE
Some 2008 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles equipped with Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) may not seek or be able to toggle through all channels in Sirius Satellite Radio mode.

ACTION
To correct this situation, set the Satellite Categories to ALL using the following instructions for the system installed in the vehicle.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Navigation Radios
1. Press the SR button on the Radio Screen until SAT1 appears.
2. Once SAT1 appears press the Genre button so that the Category list appears. Select the Category All button.
3. Press the SR button on the Radio Screen until SAT2 appears.
4. Once SAT2 appears press the Genre button so that the Category list appears. Select the Category All button.
5. Press the SR button on the Radio Screen until SAT3 appears.
6. Once SAT3 appears press the Genre button so that the Category list appears. Select the Category All button.
You have now reset the category setting for each satellite radio mode.

Non-Navigation Radios With Built In Display
1. Press and cycle the Aux button on the Radio until SAT1 appears.
2. Once SAT1 appears press and cycle the Menu button until Category appears, Press OK.
3. The next prompt will be Category All, Press OK.
4. Press and cycle the Aux button until SAT2 appears, once SAT2 appears press and cycle the Menu button until Category appears. Press OK.
5. The next prompt will be Category All, Press OK.
6. Press and cycle the Aux button until SAT3 appears, once SAT3 appears press and cycle the Menu button until Category appears Press OK.
7. The next prompt will be Category All, Press OK.
You have now reset the category setting for each satellite radio mode.

Non-Nav Radios With External/Remote Display
1. Press the Sirius button on the Radio until SAT1 appears.
2. Once SAT1 appears press the CAT/Fold button so that the CAT icon goes away.
3. Press the Sirius button on the Radio until SAT2 appears.
4. Once SAT2 appears press the CAT/Fold button so that the CAT icon goes away.
5. Press the Sirius button on the Radio until SAT3 appears.
6. Once SAT3 appears press the CAT/Fold button so that the CAT icon goes away.
You have now reset the category setting for each satellite radio mode.

APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINs
2008 Tribute Hybrid

DESCRIPTION
Some 2008 Tribute Hybrid vehicles equipped with Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) may not seek or be able to toggle through all channels in Sirius Satellite Radio mode.

To correct this situation, set the Satellite Categories to ALL using the following repair procedure for the system installed in the vehicle.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
Navigation Radios
1. Verify customer concern.

2. Turn the audio system on.

3. Press the MEDIA button.

4. Press the SR button on the top of the display.

5. Press the SR 123 button on the left side of the display until SR1 appears on the top left of the display.

6. Press and hold the GENRE button at the lower right of the display so that the category list appears.
NOTE:
The system will automatically return to the previous display if a GENRE is not selected.

7. Scroll up/down and select the ALL button.
NOTE:
^ The system will automatically return to the previous display after selecting the new GENRE and the new category (ALL) will be displayed above the GENRE button.

8. Press the SR 123 button on the display until SR2 appears on the top left of the display.

9. Press and hold the GENRE button so that the category list appears.

10. Scroll up/down and select the ALL button.

11. Press the SR 123 button on the display until SR3 appears on the top left of the display.

12. Press and hold the GENRE button so that the category list appears.

13. Scroll up/down and select the ALL button.

14. Verify repair. The new category (ALL) will be displayed above the GENRE button for SR1, SR2 and SR3. and SR3.

Non-Navigation Radios
1. Verify customer concern.

2. Turn the audio system on.

3. Press the SAT button on the audio system until SAT1 appears on the information display.

4. Press the CAT/FOLD button on the audio system until the CAT icon on the information display goes away.

5. Press the SAT button on the audio system until SAT2 appears on the information display.

6. Press the CAT/FOLD button on the audio system until the CAT icon on the information display goes away.

7. Press the SAT button on the audio system until SAT3 appears on the information display.

8. Press the CAT/FOLD button on the audio system until the CAT icon on the information display goes away.

9. New categories have now been set for SAT1, SAT2 and SAT3.

10. Verify repair.
