Hi Q, first thing I would do is disconnect your battery, touch leads, then reconnect battery.
This is the first I have heard of a faulty instrument cluster for 2009.
it may be that what is affecting your cluster, is also affecting your autostart?
I am guessing you have an aftermarket security/remote start system installed in your vehicle
you can possibly upgrade your cluster, but for all the bells and whistles, you would have to also install new sensors appropriately. Do you have a salvage yard accessible to you? Some folks get the added features by installing an aftermarket stereo… I would stay within your generation years… 2008–2012
I would think with your diagnostic tools, you should be able to at least see what is going on in the circuitry.
I would inspect all harnesses for visible rodent infestation/damage
for the time being, I would reset your trip meter at every fuel fill up, that is also an accurate way to tell when you need gas.
Until you figure it out, I would carry a full 2 gal. new/sealed gas can with you.
