Run the KOEO self demand test with the scanner. Hybrids crank using the HV battery and do not have a starter motor. Can your scanner read codes and data in the battery management computer?
The Service plug is fully engaged and the lights dash all comes on. I had a few codes regarding PCM from the ODB2 and I cleared all the codes. The Hybrid won't start or come on after trying to start the Hybrid/escape. Do I need the Ford system software packet scanner.
Do you know if the Bluetooth Forscan app is good enough? I have an android phone.I know the charger you are using. A simple LED driver. You do not need a special Ford scanner. But you do need an enhanced scanner with bi-direction controls.
Dash lights are powered by the 12 volt battery.
Engine cranking is the powered by the HV battery.
A simple scanner will not "clear" all codes, but only codes in the PCM. You need an enhanced scanner to clear all codes.
Disconnecting the 12 volt or HV battery will not clear all codes.
You need an enhanced scanner. Without it, you are going to waste time and money.
You need at least 270 volts to crank the engine. 330 volts is a fully charged HV battery.
Do you recommend any apps In play store? Such as Ford sys scan pro? Or can Fordsys scan lite work?A Bluetooth connection to Forscan would work fine. Use the interface Forscan recommends, and you will be able to read all modules and clear all codes.
I bought this Odb2 usb connector and I'm going to download the software fromThere I can't help. I'm a PC type and never had much use for apps. Sorry.
