Anyone happen to know the FRAM part number for the 3.0L oil filter? The Fram book doesn't even list the V6, and their web site doesn't list the Mariner. Thanks for the help. (Motorcraft part number: FL-500-S)

Doesn't look like they make one yet. WIX P/N is 57502, Baldwin is B7449. Throwing either of those back into Fram interchange returns nothing. Going through WIX's interchange lookup for all Fram P/Ns yields no cross-reference to 57502.

Isn't Fram priced as a premium filter down there? Up here the ExtraGuard is priced as an economy filter, which makes it worth it sometimes. I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a Fram, there are much better alternatives out there above that price.

I'm partial to whatever is one sale at the time. Motorcraft, AC, Fram,...whatever name brand is price discounted for the week. They are all good. Just stay away from the noname non-sense.

fram are highly over rated oil filters. motomaster have never steered me wrong.

They are in fact one of the lowest quality filters on the market. At least pricing here reflects that.
