Anyway, I haven't found anything on the Escape's 2008 (Pioneer, and the same unit that I have in my 2007 Edge) or 2009 (Sony) nav units yet. I'm beginning to think that it's not possible to disable motion lockout externally.

subscribing... I have a new '09 Limited sans the navi but am beginning my research for a retrofit. This will definitely be an upgrade to the stock navi that I will want shortly after.

I am new to the forum here, but I am looking to pickup a new 2009 Escape Limited with the Navigation System. I like the idea of being able to play DVDs on the screen even with the car in motion and I really want to be able to type in addresses while moving. Has anyone used the Lockpick system yet? If so what are the opinions? Is it difficult to install? Thanks...
