240 hp 3.0L v-6 and 170 hp 2.5L I-4. Definitely keeping up. Not bad for a good refresh in the powertrain dept!

I can still nit-pick about the missing rear disc brakes and the single-note horn (which can easily be replaced with the dual-note horn from the Edge), but the new powertrains will put the Escape right back at the top of the small SUV list, IMHO.

Both the RAV4 and CR-V have no manual transmissions anymore, the RAV4 still suffers from a really ugly rear end (IMHO), and the CR-V is, well, just plain ugly (the high rear camber also makes it look like the suspension is defective).

Nevermind the fact that both of the Asian mini' utes are not as reliable as most would think. The two invincable ones are treading on having as many recalls as a Ford or GM product. Definitely not a good sign :wall: . Just goes to show that if you get too big, your going to have quality issues. No matter who you are.
