Best option for black would be to find a used donor, and have it painted (or DIY). That would look good on certain colors. I like the brushed-aluminum look myself, but never been a huge fan of chrome. Ford is really putting too much chrome on most all their vehicles IMO. I'd prefer going back to the black egg-crate look.

I have trolled the internet for aftermarket parts for the Tribute and the Mariner (my second choice in the small SUVs.). I don't see much for either one, and don't recall seeing one for the Mariner :shrug: . I think you could make your own if your handy. :thumb:

You could probably make something yourself. If i can find it there is a place in on the internet that sells large pieces of the woven metal that companies like "strut" use to make there grills. You may even want to check ebay for "woven metal" or "metal mesh" or "mesh screen". It was over a year ago but i remember stumbling on some of the stainless woven metal and i believe a 4x4 sheet was like $45. Hope you find what you are looking for!

yeaaa sounds all good, ive been on ebay, amazon and google and can't find shit :/ lol but ill keep trying but if not maybe get black spraypaint and spray my grill or have a person at a body shop do it for me to come out better, if i do that ill put up pics of it to show you how it came out.
