2010 Sunglass holder replacement

Afternoon guys. I just picked up my 2010 ford escape limited a few days ago and am already wanting to make it my own. That over head double sunglass holder seems like a giant waste of space seeing how my sunglasses wont fit in it! Has anyone done anything to it? thanks guys!

When you get a little older, cheaters fit perfectly in it. Only way I can read my owners manual now :?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting a 2012 Escape XLT without the sunglasses holder above the rear view mirror. Since I wear glasses... I tried a friend's Escape and sure enough, my glasses nor sunglasses fit. Who designed this thing?!

Does anyone have any suggestions for options?

Exactly what I thought. I added a ultragauge after popping out one of the holders.
