I didn't notice a thread on this already, so I started a new one. Remember the old 220HP Taurus SHO from back in the day? Well, Ford is bringing back the SHO name again, but this time with 365 HP and AWD in a really sleek package! Wow!

One of the sites I was reading did the math and adjusting for inflation there's only a $200 difference between the 2010 and the 1999 model. http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-trucks/daily-news/090211-Ford-Taurus-SHO-Revived/ And the new one should be able to do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. Now I just need more money so I can have that and my Escape :thumb:

Seriously though, I'm a little tired of hearing that complaint. Honestly I never wanted an SHO because it didn't come with an auto. I think paddle-shifters are awesome, just as much fun and not as much work. I'd rather be concentrating on driving, not trying to figure out which gear to use and when to hit a clutch. I appreciate manuals but I think their place is in sports cars not a full-size sleeper sedan.

It is sweet... at least in the photo. I love the look of the Pony Package and that color. I just found it late last night while surfing around. Haven't had time to really look into the costs and how they affect my budget... although it's highly unlikely it will fit...

Oh yeah, I forgot....hats off to Ford for fast-tracking this car into full production, so that it's out the same time as the bread-n'-butter Taurus' (which are better than the Camry and Accord by themselves). It's about time they stop holding back, and release proper cars again. Can't wait to see the Focus RS, Fusion Sport, Fiesta and Kuga come out in the next year or two...the old status-quo is now gone... :beer:

For some reason, I really doubt the new Taurus will even make a dent in Camry sales. The Camry is just too popular. Plus, you can get them for a really good price and people love Toyota's reliability. The new Taurus is a nice looking car for sure, but it's not going to threaten the Camry or the Accord.

But the SHO seems to be out of the Camry's league and more in line with some of the higher HP AWD performance sedans. It almost seems like it would compete with an Audi A4.

if i was ready to spend 37,000 on a car, i would rather have the Volt. that is if GM doesnt go the way of the titanic. but for just over 40,000Cdn i can have the truck i want lol
