I have the same model and color and I never realized that the black grill would look that great. I also like the window vents as well. Wheels look awesome. Very nice colors on that.

Was the grill painted black or is that a SAP grill purchased?

It's not a SAP grille. I may be wrong but I think it's a grille for the 2008 Limited model, which came with a body color grille. Brand new, it comes primed. I got it from http://www.tascafordparts.com, I had them paint it black and they only charged something like $108 for the new grille and paint job.

I still like my door molding mod, wonder what black would look like on your Escape?

Very interesting. I got my Escape from Tasca in Rhode Island. So far they ahve been great to work with.

Love the wheels. I am looking into an aftermarket set myself.

Very nice. Which Hankooks do you have? RH07? What size?
They are Hankook RH07 Ventus AS 235/60R18
Someone's been shopping at Discount Tire Direct :D . They look great. Let us know how the tires do 1 year from now. People seem to like them (based on the reviews).

I am very interested in purchasing that black grille for my 2009 Black Ford Escape XLT.

How hard was it to take the chrome one off and install the new one? I am very inexperienced when it comes to working on cars

I also am going look into painting my wheels black this summer to give my car its own Sport Look!

It's kind of a pain in the *** to get off. It seems like the correct way to get the grille off is to first take the headlights out to get to some screws, but i couldn't figure out how to unscrew the bolts at the bottom of the headlights. Luckily, I have a screwdriver snake (do a google search for it) which let me unscrew the grille without taking the headlights out. Once I took the grille off, you have to separate the chrome grille from the black inner shell which you will need for the new grille. Separating the chrome grille from the inner shell requires some prying with a flat head screwdriver then you can just snap together the new grille and the inner shell.

Wheels look very sharp indeed. :thumb: I like the way 18"s give our escapes that higher end look like those spendy SUVs.
Put 18"s on mine also and my only wish would be to lower it some to fill the wheel wells better.
