Trying to verify claim that disconnecting rear wiper motor disables the washer pump.

I agree. It's hard to believe the washer pump by the front bumper gets a wire from the rear wiper motor. So with the rear connector disconnected, the washer pump is also disconnected.

If you're having a problem with the rear wiper motor, try disconnecting the wiper motor ground, G301.

The bizarre thing is that the rear wiper motor electrical connector is disconnected - BECAUSE the harness is not long enough for the harness connector to reach the motor connector (!)

One explanation is previous owner replaced the wiper motor with the wrong one but it looks like motor was never changed (!)

I have a good complete hatch from junk yard and am going to swap out the glass - half of my rear glass defroster lines are dead AND the LH hinge seal on the glass leaks during rain resulting in a puddle of water inside.

SOLVED: Rear connector did reach - loom lead was trapped behind wiper motor housing - I freed it up, connected and WASHERS WORK!

PROBLEM SOLVED!
