2011 3.0L AWD getting about 15L /100KM in the city with AC. I have about 240,000 KMs on the engine, new spark plugs were installed, cleaned out the throttle body. Is this average? If not what should I check for next? Would Forscan help me or anyone on here diagnose the fuel economy issue?

Thanks

Decidedly not normal. 15L /100KM = ~ 15.7 mpg. My '10 3.0 2WD averages about 24-26 mpg combined. For city-only, I'd expect at least 20 mpg as long as you drive conservatively and do not idle for extended periods.

Assuming the MIL is not on.... you didn't say. I'd start by checking for a brake that's dragging. Immediately after parking from a several mile drive, walk around the vehicle and hold the back of your hand close to each wheel without touching it. If a brake is dragging, it will be very noticeably warmer than one that is not.

no check engine light or codes that would be too easy haha.

one of the brake callipers, as well as the brake line was replaced for a sticking brake I wonder if it was truly fixed or maybe not.
I am not sure for the 2011, but on my 05 I cleaned the MAF and saw a little difference in mpg, and a more stable idle. I have never been impressed with the fuel economy of this vehicle. It was 4-yrs old when I got it, so I can not tell about its "brand new" fuel economy figures.

Did you use maf cleaner if just throttle body cleaner?

Cleaned the Maf sensor and have seen economy increase to around 13 litres per 100 km so far.

I did it with isopropyl alcohol and a little paintbrush. But I took the part out of the air filter box and inspected it under a 40x magnifier to look for cracks. There were none.
From cleaning the throttle body, the maf sensor and changing my driving behaviour to coast at lights has significantly increased my mileage now getting an average of 11 litres per 100 km.
