Hello. I wanted to update you all regarding my last post.

The very loud noise that was an issue is gone once I got new tires! Also, they flipped the rotors, which I assume was needed? The little squeak went away too, yay!

However, there is a new problem I have noticed.

I went on a long trip, about 100 miles.
Around the 25 mile mark my transmission or something started acting weird. Basically, the car wouldn’t coast very good. It coasts amazingly when the Engine is cold or on short trips, but on this one where the engine got warm, it is as if I was being held back the entire trip.

When I stopped at a stoplight I put the transmission in neutral and the car would roll back but with slight resistance. However, once in drive going 60 again it was hard to keep my speed. I had to give more gas than usual.

Something I have noticed is that when the Transmission is cold that it makes this “clunk” feeling and then it will coast very easily. Once hot though, this clunk goes away and the coasting practically doesn’t exist. I have noticed that shifting into Neutral only slightly helps coasting.

The people at the shop said my bearings were fine, but I doubt them. They don’t make noise, I just feel as if my car should be smoother.

I truly feel as if it is something to do with both the Bearings or something in the Suspension as well as the Transmission.

Does anyone have ideas as to what may be the issue? Thank you.

Never heard of flipping rotors… I don't know how you could do that without pulling the calipers off. You did not have brake work done, right?

Wheel bearings will howl, and that your noise went away with tire work, I would suggest that was all tire noise.

that they messed with your brakes, they may have pushed the early wear indicator back into place, which would have eliminated the squeak.

I am thinking your brakes are hanging up, they are fine when cold, but after driving the drag is causing the rotors to heatup- expand, and exacerbate the issue. Atypical for both calipers to be doing it, I would guess that your car might be pulling to one side after it's hot…
That would at least direct you to the side that the caliper needs addressing.

be careful, a dragging brake caliper can damage the rotors, and then a worst-case scenario is start a fire.
If you live in Hill country, have you ever seen a semi truck going down with smoke coming off of his brakes?
