hello people!

strange question for US & Canadian folks.

Are euro spec tail lights for the 08-12 Escapes with the orange indicators available for sale?

the US/CA ones are red which are not legal outside the NA.

Kindly advise.

@Squirrel that's the issue, I don't have any photo. I've searched on ebay & amazon....nothing.
Usually all Asian & European cars come with both versions of tail-lights.
I have never seen one for the 2nd Gen escape.
it is available for the 1st Gen escape.

If you skip to 4:44 you can see an Escape with orange turn signals on the bottom right corner.

I've only seen one other example, but it was a custom job from Russia.

My guess is they cut the taillight harnesses, and tapped the high wire into the 3rd brake light, and tapped the low into the front parking light, and then ran 2 wires from the front turn signal (positive/negative) into a new socket for the signals.

They could have probably used a 1st gen Escape harness, but I don't think the BCM has a provision for separate turn signals.

oh wow...good eye!

yep, this is exactly what I wanted.

now, I saw some ******* method to do this in a Russian forum but it is so messy and requires cutting the tail light and glowing the new bulb housing.

I believe a factory tail light doesn't exist since the 2nd gen escape was not sold in EU (as far as I know)

Now that is thinking outside the box. Smart.
yes indeed, a really good idea.
however, this will be valid only for cars with the tow package & I believe you will also need to trigger the plug to think it is hooked up which might also affect the engine/tranny performance?

seems too much of a hassle for a color change 😅😅😂🤣
