I’m installing LED light strips in the doorjam of my 2012 Escape and I would like for them to come on independently for each door.
I can wire them up to the dome light but ALL door lights would come on and thats NOT what I want. I would like these lights to come on independently as each door opens. These lights are approx 3-4 ft long and have red LEDs on the upper half of the sticks and white LEDs on the bottom half of the sticks. They are flexible and can form to the doors jam. Purpose is so oncoming traffic can see the door when opened (red lights) and the lower half would basically be a long puddle light (white lights) on the bottom of the door.
Is there a way to wire these lights into the door sensor?? Is there a way to wire them independently?? Please Help a fellow DIYer. TIA
