If you want "parked mode" then it needs to always have power, right? I assume that is a motion sensor that records when the car is parked? Most of those have 2 power sources, one is always on, and one is switched, so when switched it always records, and if not switched then only sensor recording.

I have done both, and never had good luck with the ones that have the sensor recording, but that also isn't something I am really interested in.

On my 2017 Escape I ran each power to a fuse tap in the fuse box under the dash, and didn't do the power point.

For the f-150 they have mapped out the addresses and values needed in the BCM that you can modify to change the functionality and time remaining on for the power point(s), and can modify them in Forscan, but I haven't seen anything like that for the Escape, let along the fourth gen Escape.
