More than likely, one of your ABS sensor rings is cracked. Mine is, I've had the light for a couple months now and haven't been able to get it replaced. You're brakes are still affective, but you ABS will probably not work.

Unplug the battery and plug it back in after 15 minutes. The ABS light may come on after extended driving without the rear wheels turning, and some emissions tests hook you up to a dynamometer that way.

Thank's I have tried to unplug the battery since they did use the dynamometer but still on :(

As for the Sensor ring I will check it tonight.

Is there a way to reset that sensor light ??

Unplugging the battery should have reset the light. If it is still on, the problem still exists - most common cause is the ABS tone (sensor) ring. Looking inside the hub from behind the tire, you should see something with a lot of gear teeth. Those tend to crack in cold weather and slide away from the ABS sensor.

Another possibility is the ABS sensor itself. The wire is thin and could crack or the insulation might rub off if there is something contacting it.

Good morning Im back

Went back last night to the Garage they checked the truck to find out that it was actually the front right wheel speed sensor that needs to be replaced.

I have to wait for a call from the Supervisor of the shop today and discuss if they will absorb the cost.
I told them they would have to since the truck was fine going in and issue when it came out...

They were trying to argue with me that it was not there fault and that those sensors just go like that... but told the guy that to me it wwas caused when they put the truck on the dynamometer.....

Anyway ... good day you all..

I'd be surprised if they did. Emissions testing doesn't go anywhere near the hubs.
It depends on where the OP is located, he said safety and E-test.

I know in Mass they can remove a wheel to inspect further if the inspector feels he needs to but rarely do just because of the type of thing they could get blamed for. Just imagine the lawyer field day if someone had a front brake hose pop and crashed into a school bus an hour after the inspector had the wheel off.

Ah, missed the safety part. Definitely could have been caused from poking around for the safety.

I recently had a safety done myself, and found two cracked ABS tone rings. I'll post the fix for them after my re-inspection today.
