What a great looking car. When I first saw it, I thought it was a pre-production version of the MGA cars; I had never heard of the HRG. Did some quick online research and found out about it's unique history.
I know you are a british car fan. My very first car that was registered in my name was a 1960 MGA 1600 (same model/color as the one Elvis drove in Blue Hawaii ... now enshrined at Graceland). I bought it in 1972 for $350. It was probably the most fun driving car I ever had. Sold it to my brother in 1976 when I joined the Air Force. Long gone now ...
