When I bought my 2009 mariner, I did not get the temperature readout nor compass on it (due to what was in stock at the dealership during cash for clunkers). I was wondering, is it possible to add this on? The sync display has spots for it on the readout - I can see them when the sun hits the display just right. Does anyone know if it is possible to do this? And if so, what parts (maybe even part numbers?) do I need to get to do it?

It's physically possible by adding the temperature sensor, but Ford made an electronics change that requires a different climate control module for this to work. Those are pricey parts, and you may also need to have other modules "flashed" to get them to recognize the sensor.

It hasn't been successful so far.
