Aftermarket Radio Install

I plan on installing a Pioneer DMH-1500NEX into my '04 XLT. I was able to exorcise the stock radio out, and am ready to get the Pioneer in. After it's snapped into place, is it permanent? If I need to get it out, how will I be able to get it out? These are the thoughts I have at 1 am.

When I replaced the radio in my 07, it was a permanent install unless you wanted to remove the dash. I drove around for about 6 weeks with the radio almost locked in, but not all the way locked in. I wanted to make sure that everything worked perfectly before pushing it in the final half inch. I believe the 04 will be the same way. Make sure everything works as it should and that you are happy with the radio because once you snap it into place, it is going to take a lot of work to remove it.
I believe it has locks on the side. Driving around without it locked into place is not a big deal. It doesn't rattle around or anything, but it doesn't look as nice. I would not want to do it for a few years, but a few months will not be problem. You might want to check and see if you have access to the back of the radio if you remove the glove box. I seem to remember that you had some access to the back of the radio from under the dash on the passenger side, but I don't remember if you had access to everything.
