:) :WW :woohoo:   :play: LOL! I love the emoticons. Now where am i ? Oh Yeah! Caught up with my local car dealer and had a chat. The new falcon FG is due to be released very soon. Possibly about april or may. But the main info what interested me, is in context of the new escape. To the best of my knowledge, the dealer has indicated that australia is going to receive a new escape.

They mentioned it will arrive about october or november. The dealer has no idea of what it looks like. I explained to him that i found it on a taiwan link. My description was that it appears they have only done cosmetic changes. The interior is basically the same. But, the front grill including side profile and tail gate will be different. He commented that the mechanical components will be original, but the car exterior design has been upgraded.

The dealer agreed that it will be the taiwan assembled new escape we are importing. So if it comes to our shores, i reckon it will be that facelifted taiwan escape. HMMM! Interesting. Anyway quite happy with mine. Will not be trading in. I can not imagine it being the Kuga from germany. Ford has done this in the past and given a model cosmetic upgrades.

So it looks as though our down under escape will continue for a bit. If they decide to eventually axe the taiwan design escape in future years, it will be interesting if it is replaced with the german escape as in the "Kuga". I hope my information is reasonably accurate. My dealership was definite about australia importing a new escape, about october or november of this year.

So it has been an exciting day for me, upon receiving all these new developments via another source.

Hello Stryford. Sorry about the delay. We had a shocking heat wave recently. It was a very hot autumn. I had no desire to subject my camera to extremes of heat. The weather has just recently settled down. Have not forgotten. When i get the chance will take some day shots of the rear leds. Please excuse my slackness. Will do photos over the easter period. Fortunately the climate is more acceptable now. My last day of work is on thursday.

From about good friday, and over the week end should be a suitable period. I apologise for the slack attack. The heat wave was quite shocking. :shades:

How hot did it get, stone? It's hard to get excited when all you want to do is survive the heat. Living in Florida, I think I might understand what you mean.

No worries, Stone. I didn't know about your heat wave. I can understand, though. I live in Oklahoma, and it can get extremely hot and humid here, so I know how uncomfortable it can be. When I first moved here, the first summer I experienced, we had something like 21 straight days of over 100 degree F weather. I thought how crazy I was to move to OK. But, my wife has friends and family here, so what the heck.

Anyway, take your time with the pics. You don't want to ruin your new camera, either.
