Anyone running IE8

Since I am a relatively new member I am not sure if this has been addressed, but I didn't find it in a search. When I registered and began using the forum, I was already running a beta version of IE8. I had issues with delays on this site, but I kept telling myself they would go away when the final release was out. Well, now that it is, the problem remains. I seem to get slow response from any input. If I use the mouse scroll wheel, there is a second or so delay in the page scrolling. When I hit a back button or forum selection, there is a delay before the page changes. I don't experience this on other pages, so it appears isolated to this site.
If anyone else can confirm that the are running smooth with IE8 then I will look elsewhere.

When I was beta testing Windows 7, I was using an old Beta version of IE8. I had a lot of problems with Facebook and AOL but not E-C that I can recall...

I don't plan on upgrading any time soon because of all the issues I've heard about. Since IE8 is supposed to be "Standards Compliant", it has issues displaying sites designed specifically for IE7 and earlier... I'll wait until the bugs are ironed out.
I upgraded to IE8 after it was released. I have not had issues with E-C.

I have had issues with Norton 360 Version 2.0. It keeps giving me an error that "My browser is not set to detect fraudulent web sites or to authenticate genuine web sites."

That is the only issue I am aware of. :violin:
Running IE8 for around the past two weeks with no problems. :)
This site does seem to suck up more resources than usual, but I'm not sure what it is. The reply page brings me to 50-75% CPU due to the smilies, but for some reason the other pages eat up about 10% while most other sites use 2-3%. It doesn't slow down page loading and navigation for me, though. (Not using IE8, by the way)

Update:

Once I updated to Norton 360 Version 3.0, I no longer had this error message. IE8 does seem to be more sluggish and requires me to reboot more often.

I believe that Micro$oft refers to that as a "feature" and not a "bug"

Enjoy.

Still no problems here with IE8 (knocking on wood). :)
I'm finding IE8 slow on some computers. My work PC hates it. It takes 5 to 10 seconds to load and another 5 or so seconds to open a new tab. I believe the PC has a bug or two though. I've got to reformat and reinstall everything sometime soon. It's also fairly slow on my laptop. Not quite as bad as at work but noticeable. On my Win 7 PC it's nice and snappy but that is a fresh install. I still have IE7 on my XP machine. I don't want to risk the slowdown at this point...
