while washing my new 09 escape i found some bare metal spots inside the rear hatch door that has no paint on it ! open the rear door hatch and inspect all the corners and make sure they are fully covered with paint  .

I notice a little bit of problem on mine in these areas as well, although I think it is just exposed primer and not bare sheet metal. I'm still having the dealer fix it next week anyway. While looking for this kind of thing, I also noticed that some of my doors have slight gaps in the lower front corners where the sheet metal is bent inwards on itself, thinking that I will have them fix that as well, maybe just use some sealant to close the gap so that water isn't pooling there.
