Hi, this is my second Post. Again, I bring to you a nice and cheap idea (like my first post: http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6984)....I bought this 15 led strip at ebay ($4 pair): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...22276&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_3582wt_1141
I searched the forum and didn't find a post with this, so...here it is ;)

It was a hard work for amateurs like me, but I'm sure that you guys can do it pretty fast ;) The configuration was simple...just stripe the ground and "parking" wires (front turn signal bulb) and join led negative with escape ground wire and the led positive with the escape "parking" wire. Turn Signal bulb have 3 wires = POSITIVE (BLINKER) - POSITIVE (PARKING) - GROUND....In this case, we use parking and ground....(you can choose BLINKER instead of PARKING...but the idea is to keep leds ON....blinker just will turn it on when turn signals are ON)....here is a reference picture that I found on the web (ignore the resistor tag):

And this is the result:

Later, I will post new pics ;)

EDIT: New pics...sorry iPhone was the only camera available

It looks very good! I wanted to do that with my lights when i had them opened but i didn't.
One thing that i would probably do is to tap them on a wire that is hot when the ignition is on and not on the parking light so that way you don't have to use the parking lights all the time.

I did a temporary install on my Escape:

1: I mounted them on the top
2: I powered them with 2 9v batteries
3: The install is TEMPORARY so I can determine if I like them
4: I have no pics yet, I'll get some when I clean the Escape after the storm goes thru.

hey just a tip, i had my led strip in the same spot but snow built up in there and shorted them out. i ended up having to put them on the top of the headlight to avoid this problem. just a thought.
The details on the auction say waterproof.
It says that they are waterproof, but I can say that with no doubt that I really doubt it...
