Hi

Im sorta new to this site

As the title says, Im from Australia

Ive got a 2007 Escape XLS

I got it in March this year new

It was built in late dec 2007

The colour is bright red & grey

As Im not sure what models everyone has in the states I thought Id show you what they look like over here.. :thumb:

I didn't know if there would be many Aussies on this site..
Atm all Ive done so far is: new 2008 bonnet & escape bonnet protector, dark tint, rust proofing, chrome foot sills & towbar :rockon:
In the future I plan on adding a new stereo, monitors & an xbox.. Plus some decent rims :shades:

No I havent gone "off road" as yet.. My escape is only a 4cyl version too..

My rear bar, as its a base model, its colour is two tone red/grey, with a black plastic/vinyl top part for protection.. All the models over here have it.. The other models like XLT's & so forth usually arent two tone tho.

i have seen a few 2 tone but also some wicked ones that are full colour

u said u have a 2008 bonnet?

Yes, the sports v6 models & the new model escape zd? are all one colour.

My bonnet was replaced with a 'new' one due to a fault by ford.. They swapped them at service.

ok sweet what was the fault with it?

i got a xlt sport which is the v6 3ltr and im 2 tone, some times i wish it was all one colour but hey thats life any ways a new bonnet would be sweet lol

I was considering the V6 escape limited model. It would have been the leather interior with a sun roof. With all the accessories i have on my 06 four pot XLT, the dealer calculated about forty thousand for a fully accessorised limited V6. For my wage bracket it was pushing the envelope too much.

So henceforth because of circumstances, this is why i had to choose my four cylinder 06 XLT escape. Stock standard mine was about $29,990. Fully accessorised plus government on road fees, the escape rounded of at $ 35, 000.

yea at the time i bought mine the xls were going for 29,990 + orc

I just happen to be driving past one day, saw the red one out the front & bought it then & there :lol:

I got it for 27k inc orc.. I just lucky that day I guess

Hello escapedtroy. Yes i am aware that i didn't receive a very good deal. For a XLT V6 Sport pack at $25,000 you definitely scored a bargain. I must be residing in the wrong state. Actually i have heard that some south aussies, go to victoria or new south wales when they are looking for a good deal in new cars. Not sure what all my accessories cost.

At the moment i have all these items on it: Side steps. Four wind deflectors on all four windows. Stainless steel scuff plates on bottom edge of door jambs. After market tinting ,on all four door windows plus the tailgate glass. Rust proofing treatment on under carriage. Genuine lambswool seat covers ,that were tailor made for front bucket seats. Towing bar with power plug for trailer lights. Dark tint bug deflector with ' Escape' logo in white text. A heavy duty gauge nudge bar, by the queensland firm of " East Coast Bull Bars". Two high wattage " Nite Stalker" spotlights.
