How to engage automatic locks on a 2008 Mazda Tribute. I tried the process listed for the Ford Escape in another thread and it only beeps once telling me it has been deactivated. It however will not activate. Am I missing something or do I just need to take it to the dealer.

It can be done through the car's speedometer/computer if you have it. I don't know whether Mazda Tributes came with the info-setup-reset buttons that Fords and Mercurys do.

I don't have info, setup, or reset buttons.

For my Escape, there's a way to do it through the dashboard. I wonder if there's a key button pressing method. I will look it up and tell if you if I find anything.

OK thanks, maybe I could also install the info, setup, and reset buttons and get a trip computer too.

you would have to get the upgraded speedometer too if you did...
