I have a 2006 Escape, is it possible to get something installed that would make the rear liftgate open automatically. My husband is handicapped, and he is finding it difficult to open the liftgate to get his wheelchair out of the back. I just don't even know where to start to find if it can be done, and where I would get it done. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

Not sure what country you're in, but in the US a conversion company like AMS vans may have a solution.
I would do a search for van conversion companies in your area.
Here in Ontario companies like Shoppers Home Heath may have leads as well.
