We don't have one, but it is a consideration. My wife is a munchkin and could use the camera to back up, especially with the backseat head restraints sticking up in her view. At the moment we have other issues to deal with and the camera idea is just way down the list.

Same here. I'm trying to find the part number for the factory camera in the Flex, which is integrated into the rear Ford emblem. It looks like it's the same size as the one on the Edge.

My nav system does have a video input and a reverse-lamp input, according to the schematics, but Ford also offers a factory Gentex inside rear-view mirror with an LCD screen as an option on the F-150 and Expy.

I'd like a backup camera too. I need it to add it to my list of mods.

Farenheit makes a good license plate camera... also they have an optional rear view mirror lcd display thats super lightweight and clips onto the existing rear view.

I saw one advertised to take the place of your rear tag screw. The screen was dashmountable. If I could only remember where I saw the advert...

Anyone have any experiences with these cheaper ebay cameras?

I see that CCD is much better than CMOS technology but there is a signficant price diff between the two.

Thanks!
The one thing that really stands out about that model is that it can be easily removed/stolen.

Several people in an Edge forum use the Boyo VTL200 (chrome) or VTL300 (black) license-plate cameras. These metal-framed (zinc-alloy, no rust) cameras are bolted in from the inside of the liftgate, so they can't be stolen. They're also CCD, 512x492 pixels in NTSC form (slightly smaller than the one you listed above), but with much lower minimum illumination (0.3-0.5 lux vs. 2 lux), and vertically adjustable. They're also more expensive, but still well under $200.

There are also plastic-framed versions: VTL110 (chrome) and VTL120 (black).

PS... thanks for the e-mail reply!

Thanks Jpark for the link on Boyo. I've heard great things about it.

Now, do you think it's even worth the $30 and pain of installation on that other CMOS camera? It has some LEDs for night but doubt that it will be bright enough to even help.
