They want to ban black cars due to their overtaxing of their ACs, but a Hummer H2 would be ok getting 10 mpg in a nice light beige.

This is a good reason to not live in California..... :bang:
Well ok, not really but it makes you think.

Thanks for providing that link. :)  Never knew ' California ' was like that. Has that state basically progressed into a " Hippie , New age state government. " Is old arnie boy being much help as the governor? ' I'll be back '

Allways knew the hippies, would make a comeback. Anyway the ' New age ' and hippies are basically the same thing. I personally do not have a problem, with the alternative lifestyle they choose to live by. Actually in my ozzie state, the word ' hippie' is seldom used as a reference. Strange how time changes everything. The comment of ' Hippie ' used to be quite popular back in the 1970's.

Now for some reason, in sth. australia people seem to be partial to the word of ' greenies ' as in environmentalists.   :hyst:   :worry:  So now the popular and in vogue reference for a hippie is ' Greenie' or ' Greenies '. OH! BLOODY HECK ! I find it quite amusing, but it puzzles me because i am still a bit old fashioned. New age ? Greenies ? Hippies ? They are all the same.

As regards banning factories, from producing black cars, i regard it as going overboard. They are pushing the envelope. Only my opinion, but i reckon they are being paranoid do-gooders. Honestly can't see ,as to how black cars will have an impact on our environment. I am reading between the lines here. There is nothing wrong with being respectful to nature.

With all due respect, i hope the ' New age fanatics ' do not gain too much influence or power in our governments. I apologise in advance, if anyone is offended.by ' fanatics'. Should they ever gain a lot of political power, i can not imagine it will be in our best interests. At the moment we have an environment minister, by the name of peter garret. This politician used to be the lead singer of " Midnight Oil ". A former rock' N roll singer is now in parliament. HA HA! :hyst: Yes, i am definitely not impressed. Has he brought forth any significant gains ,for the australian nature and environment?.

ABSOLUTELY STUFF ALL! as in nothing. He made enough money, out of his show business music days. Must be greedy. So then he ventured into politics. What a joke! Anyway he's a bloody deceiving hypocrite. P.S. as an afterthought : Heard this from a reliable source: Once upon a time, there was a young lad. This young buck was a teenager at the time. He requested an autograph, of peter garret at his ' Midnight Oil ' concert. Keep in mind this was long before the rock singer entered politics. Peter Garrets reply to the young lads request for an autograph, was something like " Oh! go away young man, can't you see im very busy, i can't possibly spare any time for an autograph!.

Since the Mariner's lines are already softer than the Escape, I had to go with the black since it was the least feminine color available....

ice blue, kiwi green, light sage, white suede, sangria red.... just not my style...

I detest black cars  . I think they are a complete abomination! But to outlaw their sale  :stop: Get real. It's supposed to be a free country, whatever happened to being able to have it painted any color you want, as long as it's black? :taz:

Another freedom soon to be gone, choosing your favorite color. Then another step towards socialism. Next thing someone will be telling me is that all school kids will wear uniforms to school and be required to do service projects...

Supposedly not, but they don't call it the "People's Republic of Kalifornia" for nothing.

I suppose they might possibly in future, impose a tax on us for breathing in air. But i regard the banning of black cars as scary. Definitely another loss of personal freedom. A few laws have been changed in australia, which i perceive as restrictions on our personal liberties.
